Equipment
large stock pot (I use an 8-quart)
colander or strainer
large bowl (to hold strained broth)
Ingredients
frozen chicken bones(I love using drumsticks)
filtered water
Instructions
Place frozen chicken bones in the pot.
Cover bones with filtered water and leave 1-inch of space.
Let the mixture simmer on low heat for 6.5-8 hours.
Place the colander over the bowl and pour the mixture in. The colander will catch the bones and the bowl will hold the strained broth.
Discard the bones.
Distribute the broth into storage containers and use within a 1-week. Freeze to save for longer use.
Enjoy by heating it up and sprinkling some sea salt on it.
Notes
This recipe is perfect to make in bulk and freeze for later! The longer you let the mixture simmer, the stronger the broth flavors will be.
